Camping

Troop 1529 has campouts every month. Past campouts have focused on snow caving, backpacking, "dump camps," Camporees and more. This year, we plan to go caving and white-water rafting. We have regular events like a mid-winter lock-in, an annual Seattle hike and a family camp at Fort Worden. Each summer we attend a week-long summer camp; this year at Camp Meriwether. Traditionally, we spend as much time in the Olympic Mountains as we can.

Boy Scouts

The Boy Scouts of America is one of the nation's largest and most prominent values-based youth development organizations. The BSA provides a program for young people that builds character, trains them in the responsibilities of participating citizenship and develops personal fitness.

For more than a century, the BSA has helped build the future leaders of this country by combining educational activities and lifelong values with fun.
